Haider Ali has been arrested by the Greater Manchester Police on suspicion of rape and bailed pending further enquiries. McTominay has not started a single game as a defensive midfielder for Napoli, per Transfermarkt, and has scored 17 goals in 50 matches for the club as a result of their decision to unleash him further up the pitch.

Rangers can learn from his rise to stardom in Naples because it is proof that a player can sometimes be hampered by the position they are playing in, and that may be the case for Mohamed Diomande.

Former Rangers boss Philippe Clement, who recently landed a new job with Norwich, criticised the midfielder and Cyriel Dessers because they were “not brave enough” in November last year, but that tough love led to Diomande ending the season with six goals and nine assists, per Transfermarkt.

As you can see in the table above, the 24-year-old star has been asked to play in far more defensive positions than when he excelled last season under Clement and Barry Ferguson.

Diomande has no goals and no assists in 18 games, per Transfermarkt, after his 15 goal contributions in the 2024/25 campaign, which clearly shows that the change in his position has had a negative impact on his performances.

The left-footed star, who showed off his attacking quality at Parkhead in March, is capable of far more than he has shown this season, as evidenced by his form last season.

That is why Danny Rohl should look to unleash Diomande further up the pitch, in an attacking midfield role, because his attacking instincts could see him revive his Ibrox career in the same way that McTominay’s positional change sparked his career for club and country into life.

أولًا: اعتماد المشروع القومي للموهوبين والناشئين والشباب 2026–2036

وافق المجلس على خطة المشروع القومي للموهوبين والناشئين والشباب، تماشيًا مع رؤية الدولة المصرية لاكتشاف ورعاية المواهب، من خلال استراتيجية وطنية لتطوير منتخبات الناشئين والشباب وصولاً إلى المنتخب الأول والأوليمبي، استعدادًا لكأس العالم 2034 والدورة الأوليمبية 2036.

وتتضمن الخطة إنشاء 8 مراكز فنية على مستوى الجمهورية وتوفير التمويل اللازم لضمان تنفيذ أهداف المشروع على مدار عشر سنوات، على أن تُرفع الخطة إلى وزير الشباب والرياضة لاعتمادها رسميًا.

ثانيًا: إعادة تشكيل لجان الاتحاد

وافق المجلس على إعادة تشكيل لجان الاتحاد بعد انعقاد الجمعية العمومية، بما يتناسب مع متطلبات المرحلة المقبلة.

ثالثًا: الاستقالة المقدمة من مدير إدارة الإعلام

اطلع المجلس على استقالة الأستاذ أسامة إسماعيل، مدير إدارة الإعلام، وقدم الشكر والتقدير على جهوده المخلصة خلال سنوات عمله، مؤكدًا أنه سيظل أحد أبناء الاتحاد الأوفياء. كما وافق المجلس على إعادة تشكيل اللجنة الإعلامية.

رابعًا: دعم المنتخب الوطني الأول وكأس العرب

أكد المجلس تقديم الدعم الكامل لمنتخب مصر الأول وللفريق المشارك في بطولة كأس العرب، وتوفير كل المتطلبات اللازمة للأجهزة الفنية واللاعبين استعدادًا للبطولات المقبلة، مع الموافقة على إقامة معسكر للمنتخب بمركز المنتخبات الوطنية قبل السفر لخوض البطولة.

خامسًا: إنهاء بطولة كأس مصر وترتيبات فترة القيد المحلي

اطلع المجلس على مذكرة لجنة المسابقات بشأن إنهاء بطولة كأس مصر، والتي تضمنت دراسة الإجراءات اللازمة لإنهاء المسابقة بما يتيح بدء فترة القيد المحلي بعد نهاية الموسم، وقبل المشاركة في كأس العالم.

سادسًا: قرارات انضباطية حاسمة بشأن تجاوزات في مسابقات الناشئين والشباب

في ضوء تقارير لجنة المسابقات عن مخالفات جسيمة تهدد سلامة اللاعبين والحكام والجمهور، قرر المجلس شطب عدد من العناصر ومنعهم من ممارسة أي نشاط كرة قدم، وهم:

هشام جودة أحمد، المدير الإداري لفريق الشرقية مواليد 2011، لتعديه على المساعد الأول للحكم.

عبد الرحمن أحمد شعبان، مدرب نادي نجمة سيناء مواليد 2007، لتعديه على اللاعبين والتهجم على الحكم.

كريم أشرف محمود، مدرب نادي بلدية المحلة مواليد 2009، لتعديه على الحكم وتحريضه على الانسحاب.

كيرلس حليم متى، إداري نادي ناصر الفكرية، لاقتحامه أرض الملعب والتعدي على الحكم.

وأكد المجلس أنه سيتخذ كافة العقوبات الانضباطية اللازمة لضمان سلامة اللاعبين والحكام والجماهير، مع إلزام لجان المسابقات في الفروع بعرض أي تجاوزات على اللجنة الرئيسية فور حدوثها.
